About the book -
The Reverend Gideon Snow, Chaplain of Company D, 26th Alabama Infantry
during the Civil War, is more concerned with his soldiers staying out of
trouble and making it to heaven, than he is of the next battle. But
when a decision is made allowing chaplains onto the battlefield – after
all they should be with their men – the Reverend Gideon Snow discovers
that in order to get his soldiers to heaven he must lead them through
the battle first.

I like the idea of writing a story based on one of those faces in the old photos who you never know anything about. So many lives that were never recorded.
ReplyDeleteHanny, I agree - those old photos hold a wealth of inspiration. Basing even a short story on one could be quite fun!
