Join The Party!

Return the Heart Is Almost Here!

Welcome to my blog party!

Thanks for coming. Come right in and I'll show you around. Let's put your coat by the door. I should warn you that the place has filled up fast and the music is way too loud. Sorry about that.

You might recognize some of the guests. Come on in, let me introduce you.

First, can I offer you some chocolate? All writers love chocolate and I made these myself. *shifty eyes* *clears throat* Okay, well I didn't make them, make them - I sort of... Well you'll like them. Really. *winks*

These are my friends Cat Woods, Jemi Fraser, and Lisa Gibson. *waves hi* They're a great group of friends. Oh, watch out! They can kick pretty high.

And over here we have some fun going on with a really cool pinata. What was that? Is my book centered in Mexico? Oh, no it's not. I just saw this and had to have it. Watch out for for that stick. *ducks* *whispers* Writers are great with smaller items, like pencils, but when you give them a stick they're kind of dangerous!

Over here we have a friendly game of sword fighting. I'd like you to meet David Farretti and Victoria Dixon. This was inspired by all my friends who write fantasy, and true crime. Be careful, I don't think David is wearing his glasses! * drops to the ground and does the army crawl*

And over here, we have a fun game of limbo! Watch out for Jean Oram, she's the reigning champ. *waves hi and passes around some chocolate* Wendy's awesome, too, you'll like her.

And these are more of my blogger and AQC friends. They're the best and an awesome group of people. What was that? You can't see their faces? Oh, I know. They like the mystery - after all they're writers.

And finally we have the awesome prize give away!!!!

Inside this prize pack you'll find a mini tote bag, a journal with matching pen, Ghirardelli Chocolate, candles, English Breakfast tea, and of course a scented pencil. Sweet!!

And all you have to do to enter is sign my guest book (leave a comment *winks*) and I'll draw a name and announce the winner tomorrow!

What was that? You'd like to bring your friends? That would be great! Oops, I hear the door bell. Feel free to join the party - I've got to get the door! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see who won. And on Monday I'll pick another winner.

And don't forget RETURN THE HEART is almost here!!

  8. Whew, I made it in time. At the first read I thought you were saying us writers are dangerous if you give us a pencil and I was thinking how true that is, and then I realized I read it wrong. Oops! We're pretty deadly with a sticky too. I just start swinging and oops! Blamo! I hit someone accidentally-not-quite-on-purpose.

    Great party!

  10. Jean, so glad you could make it! Don't worry about smacking someone with the stick. They were dancing on the tables anyways... LOL :)

  13. I'm late!!!! But I'm here :) (11 hour day at work and then flower shopping!)

This party is hopping! So many great folks and so much excitement building!

Now where can I set my pompoms so I can try some of that punch? Great party TK! (Did I include enough exclamation points? 'Cause I can include more!!)

  14. Hi TK—congratulations again.

I can see you put a lot of work into today’s party. It looks and feels terrific.

They say 'Bounty' is excellent for mopping up spilt punch. Hope it did not stain the carpet—yikes!

    Have a great party
David...POP!! Oh darn, there goes my balloon.

  15. PS: I loved your sword fight scene. If I remember correctly, David does the Navy Quick Retreat (a tactical maneuver—known by only a few—to ensure their survivability).

  16. Jemi, thanks for coming! It wouldn't be the same without you. :) And yes, we've had a lot of friends and people dropping by for some fun. I'm so pleased! :)

  17. David, I must confess that I thought your sword fighting was amazing! The Navy Quick Retreat - known only by a few- does indeed ensure survivability. *bows*

Thanks for coming and thank you so much for doing a blog post about it and spreading the news to your followers. With friends like all of you I am truly blessed. :)

  18. Very fun post! Enjoyed peeking around your blog. :) I think I got nicked going by the sword fight. (Geez, Vicki!) Got any bandaids?
    :)

  19. In that case, I'll keep everyone in line with my stick. We wouldn't want any of the table dancers to fall, etc.

Now, where did I set down my Margarita? It's in a sippy cup so I don't spill it while I do the limbo.

  20. Hi Janet, sorry about the sword injury. I do have some Hello Kitty Band Aids. Okay time to gather up the swords... Thanks for coming by! :)

  21. Jean, I found your sippy cup! Clever idea by the way. No spills. :) And it wouldn't be a party without you - no one has as much table dancing as the folks from AQC. We've done this a few times before... lol

  22. TK,

Totally late. Not even fashionably so, but life intervened in the worst way.

Your party is rockin' and I wish you luck on both your book and getting the punch out of the carpet. Just think, in no time, you can replace the stained floor with a gorgeous wood one!

Thanks so much for the invite and the special mention. You are such a wonderful part of my writing life and I'm so glad our paths have crossed. Hopefully someday we can do so in real life. Until then, count me as one of your biggest fans!

    hugs~ cat

  23. Cat, don't worry about being late. To me, family comes first - always. Real life must be our first priority. We are the glue that holds our families together.

And you, too, are such a wonderful part of my writing life. I think it would be so fun to someday meet in real life. I somehow picture a writer's resort, cabana boys waiting on all of us and fanning us with palm leaves. Oh yeah, and serving all of us chocolate dipped strawberries, and...

Okay, well if you hear of a resort like that let me know! LOL Until then we'll continue to cheer each other on and pray for much writing success. :)
